This week I am joined by Primary PE teacher at a SEND school Evelyn Roberts. Evelyn was born with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that impacts her muscles, in particular making it difficult for her to walk. In this episode, Evelyn takes us on a journey through her negative childhood experiences of PE into ultimately playing professional sport and now teaching PE herself. She opens up about her struggles and successes and ultimately how her condition positively impacts on all of the students she teaches. Not only were my eyes opened further, but I was truly inspired.

This week I am joined by former England, Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls Women's Rugby League player, Lois Forsell.

On this episode, we chat about Lois' journey from a PE loving young girl into an elite athlete playing at the very highest level. We discuss environmental and psychological factors that contributed to the journey that Lois went on leading to her representing her country. I also dive into the early experiences of PE that Lois had, and how this shaped/contributed towards her career trajectory. We also enjoyed chatting about the peer/social pressures that can negatively impact on girls enjoyment/willingness to continue being physically active/sporty and what Lois saw of this herself, particularly through her high school years. It all provides some fascinating insights into what it takes to make it to the top.
